Are you ready for your PADI Deep Diver Course?

As you travel a long your path as a diver, there will be times when you want to go deeper, whether this is to inspect a wreck, or look at that marine life that is just out of reach.  The Deep Diver Speciality Course is the way to go, enabling you to dive to the depth of 40 metres. We will go through the safety aspects of deep diving, air consumption rates and other important factors pertaining to this type of diving.

Outline of the PADI  Deep Diver Course:

You will have already completed dive 1 of the Deep Diver Speciality Course when you did your Advanced Open Water course. If this was with Orca Scuba Diving Academy within the previous 12 months you will only have a further 3 dives to complete this course. It is possible to complete these remaining training dives in one day, but you could elect to do them over 2 days instead. Especially if you are completing another speciality at the same time.   

You will also have either a paper manual or eLearning to work though and complete the knowledge reviews. Once you have completed these, your Instructor will review these with you to ensure that you have understood all aspects of the information covered. 

Before you undertake your dives, your instructor will give you a full briefing to ensure you understand how the dives will be completed, so you feel confident and prepared. 

Confined Water Pool Sessions:

There are no pool sessions for this course.

Open Water Dives:

Once all personal equipment has been allocated, as well as all safety equipment checked and loaded, you will travel to a suitable location to complete your dives.

Dive 1….Colour and depth comparison (computer or gauge)

Dive 2….Timed task at depth

Dive 3….Navigation swim – straight line out and back

Dive 4….A general dive that you plan

• PADI Certification

What’s not included in your course:

• Travel to and from the open water dive site.

• Entrance fees into dive site.
